Woosh!!!

That is how the first quarter of this year has gone.  It seems like a couple of weeks ago we were taking down the Christmas deccies and here we are into the second quarter of the year. Crazy mad but I guess there's not much we can do about it.

We're still pottering about and enjoying the sunshine here.  It's so nice to put the washing out on the line and get out and about without being all wrapped up.  The simple pleasures are sometimes the best.

The girlies playhouse is coming along nicely and just needs a worktop for them to do their art stuff.  Hopefully, that will be done this weekend and then we can get the rest of their stuff in there.  I'll pop some piccies on here when it's finished.

I can't wait to get rid of all the stuff clogging up my living room when it's done. 

Well, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine.

Ooh, found this photo on an old mobile phone.  Miss Muffin must have been coming up for three and Graham had taken her to Maccie D's while I took Lottie to a party.

My poor ole blogerino has been sadly neglected, again.  But, the weather has been far to nice to stay indoors and you have to make the most of it while you can.

The girlies are looking rather tanned already and have been making the most of their friends being on holiday from school.

We've also been sorting out the girlies new playhouse and it is now up and almost ready for them to unpack their stuff into.

I shan't be sorry to see the back of all their stuff.  They are planning lots of creative endeavours and get togethers with friends in there.

*In other news*

I've been having a go at some cutting and sticking.  It's been so long since I've done anything creative that I think I have forgotten how.  Anyhoo, I made this for a sketch challenge I saw somewhere on the big ole www.

It's not fantastic but I am making an effort to get back into the groove.

Spring has sprung

Loving the sunshine ...... The red glowing face - not so much!!!

We've been out in the garden all day putting up the girlies new playhouse and while the sun wasn't terribly strong there was a bit of a breeze.

Hey ho, it's up and just needs fancifacating and the furniture built.  It takes up a huge part of my teeny tiny garden but it will be worth it to get rid of so much of their stuff from the house.   They have it all planned out and can't wait to get in.

*In other news*

We had visitors yesterday which proved to be ....... interesting!!! 

Miss Muffin has taken her splint off and so far so good.

Think that's about it for today.  Leaving you with my magnolia tree which has masses more flowers on it today.  I do love it but it flowers for such a short time.

Yep, she fell off her bike again today.  Apparently, she was giving her friend S a *taxi ride* and their friend B slowed down and off she popped.

One grazed knee and elbow cleaned up and kissed better and she was off again. 

I'm just glad that she always wears her cycle hat.  I'm a real stickler for them as Graham was knocked off his bike and his hat had a big hole in it and I'd rather replace a broken hat. 

*In other news*

Lottie's sore mouth is much better and we have a few more weeks before her plate gets adjusted again.

The weather has been glorious in my little corner of jolly ole England.  The girlies have been out playing and have caught the sun already.  Hey, it's free vitamin D and they will never get rickets.

Rightie oh, I'm off as we have visitors tomorrow and it's way past my bedtime.

Playing catch up

I really have lost the blogging habit and seem to be always playing catch up.   Not that I ever have anything exciting to say but you know what I mean.

So, what have we been up to?

Well, Lottie visited the Orthodontist and had her plate adjusted.  He was very pleased but she wasn't so impressed as it gave her a few very uncomfortable days. 

Miss Muffin fell off her bike on Easter Monday evening but seemed fine apart from a few scrapes and bruises.  However, she woke up on Tuesday complaining of a sore arm so we popped off to the local minor injuries unit.

The initial examination led them to think that she had fractured it but, thankfully, x-rays showed it was still in one piece.  She has to wear a splint thing for a week or so to give the ligaments time to heal and they have given her some exercises to do.

We have certainly been keeping the shares in Calpol and Nurofen buoyant.

And me, I'm good but I have fallen off the healthy eating wagon.  I am back on track and determined to lose my 4 stone target this year.

Graham has gone back to work after his week off and I am back on my spring cleaning/decluttering mission.  The nicer weather certainly puts a spring in your step.

Think that's about it for today.  Leaving you with Lottie who we have just discovered has legs that are longer than mine.
