Happy Birthday Bunny

Wow, those twelve years have certainly flown.

It's hard to believe that my teeny tiny baby is now almost as tall me.  Mind you, at 5' 4" I'm not exactly a giant.

Anyhoo, she had a lovely day with lots of art and fashion design stuff, zubber, walkie talkies, smellies, a Guide blanket for camp, a Club penguin game and a heap of money to spend on whatever she chooses.  A very lucky girlie indeed.

Sissie also got pressies including her new Guide uniform just in time to make her promise on Tuesday.

We settled in to watch Up tonight and all was well in our little world.

Happy 12th Birthday to Lottie aka Bunny.

Friday, Friday

It's a bit odd that I love Fridays so much as I don't work and Graham works on a Saturday.  Hey ho, I guess you can't change the habit of a lifetime.

I really have fallen off of the blogging wagon lately.  Not entirely sure why but there you go.

The girlies are grand and Lottie is getting used to her new plate and looking forward to having beautiful teeth at the end of it all.

Miss Muffin is doing well and remembering to wear her patch.

We really are getting are making the most of the NHS at the moment.

And me? I'm good and still sticking to my *kick start* diet.  I lost 8lbs in my first week which isn't too shabby.  It's going well and I am finding it surprisingly easy to stick to.  So, that's one week down and eleven to go.

We went to a lino printing class in the week which was fun and now we need to get some bits to have a go at home.

Think that's about it for today.  Leaving you with a real oldie and Graham with hair!!!

Sorting out Sunday

I finally got around to sorting out the boxes that were blocking the french doors.  So much stuff and I really do wonder why I keep it all.  I need a ruthless friend to visit and make me clear it out.  On second thoughts, no, I have a couple of ruthless friends and it would make me sad.

Anyhoo, Friday we pootled off to the Orthodontist and Lottie Lou came out with her plate fitted and sounding like the elephant man.  We couldn't understand a word she said and she was dribbling like billy-oh.

A couple of hours later and she was almost back to normal but a tad lispy.  Now, you hardly know it's there.

The plate fits in the roof of her mouth and pushes the front teeth out.  Once they are out enough she will have the train tracks fitted.  We're looking at about 6 months until the braces go in.  She's been really good about wearing it and has managed to get it and out to do the necessary.

Thanks to Paula I remembered to take a piccie so that we can see how they move.

Ooh, just need to mark that today it is seven years since my Dad passed away.  Time sure flies.

And the sun shone

Yay, it's so nice to see some sunshine. 

We're off to the Orthodontist later and Graham is leaving work early to make it a family outing ......  We really know how to live.  Mind you, I'm glad that he is coming as he had to take the car today and it's a bit of a trek to walk.  Ok, it's probably only a 30 minute walk but it is uphill.

I've been making some Easter cards and can't believe how organised I am seeing as it's still February.  They are very simple but it's nice to get cutting and sticking.

My *new me* regime is going well.  I feel as though I have more energy already and have lost 5lbs since Wednesday so not too shabby.

The girlies are grand and are currently decorating the Fashion Angels tote bags that Santa brought them.  They are in a glittery, sparkly, sequin heaven as I type.

Where does the time go?

The time just seems to be whizzing by at the moment and the days blur into one.  Not sure why as I've not been up to anything exciting ....... When do I ever?

We're pootling along here and Lottie Lou has her next Orthodontist appointment on Friday.  We should have a decision on what to do next and then we can get going.  I think that she just wants to get it started now.

I've started a *kick start* to a new me programme.  It's only day one so far but fingers crossed it works.  I really want to lose some weight before the Summer.

A bit of a quickie as I have a stack of admin to catch up on and a load of Easter cards that won't make themselves.

Not again!!!

I was hoping that we'd seen the last of the snow but it made it's presence felt today.  Thankfully, it doesn't appear to be laying but it certainly came down thick and fast.

We did manage to get the front garden tidied up before it got too bad but we spent the rest of the day indoors.  We chopped down some bushes that were way past their best and now I need to decide what to put in their place.

The rest of the day was spent baking and catching up on the episodes of Merlin that have been sat on the recorder since before Christmas.

Rightie oh, I'm off to rub some cream on my poor hands from the spiteful thorns.  Note to self - Must buy new gardening gloves as it appears that you have misplaced the many pairs you already had.

Pootling along

I really have got out of the habit of updating here.   It is really only intended as a bit of a diary for the girlies so I guess it's not the end of the world if it's not updated regularly.

Anyhoo.  What have I been up to?  Not a lot really as the girlies have been sharing their lurgies.  We had friends over to play yesterday which was nice cos I do love a gossip.

Other than that we've been hitting the books, doing our ding dong Avon and slowly clearing some clutter.  The weather hasn't been great so no trips anywhere exciting.  It's been nice to get the kitchen straight and we've been making soup (thank you Paula), choccie cake bits and baking up a storm in my new bread maker. 

We had a breadmaker years ago but it gave up the ghost and we never replaced it.  The recent snow made it tricky to get to the shops and it was even harder to find bread on the shelves.  I'd forgotten how much nicer it tastes which is bad as I'm not supposed to eat too much wheat.

Ooh, I did manage to hit my first half a stone target.  Go me!!!

The girlies are grand and have rediscovered their love of Barbie.  A younger friend came to play and all the Barbies were liberated from their boxes in the garage.

Think that's about it for now.  Leaving you with an oldie that always makes me smile from Miss Muffin's 2nd birthday and Charlotte would have been coming up for four.
