They say it all comes in threes

So, I came down this morning to a limping Lucy, then my dishwasher started buzzed.  I sorted those out and I get a phone call to say the girlie wirlies' bunkbeds are delayed by at least a month.

Hey ho, they decided on another set of bunkbeds and wardrobe and I order those.  Only for the first lot to phone this evening and say they can deliver on Monday.  I told them thanks but no thanks so, hopefully, I won't end up with two lots of bunkbeds.

Honestly, it's no wonder that companies go out of business when they can't get the basics right.

We've sorted out our windows and are having new ones fitted after Easter.  I'm not looking forward to it but I really don't like single glazing and we knew that they needed doing when we bought the house.

The girlie wirlies are grand and looking forward to Easter.

Ooh, the wheat and dairy thing is ok but I do miss ice cream and crusty bread.  I've never been a big dairy fan so that part is fairly easy.

Back on the wagon

Wish me luck as I'm back on my wheat and dairy free.  Neither agree with me and seeing the piccie from the other day was a shock.

I've also unpacked a load of smaller size clothes which will, hopefully, be an incentive to shift some lard.

The moral of this piccie is to never leave your husband with a child whose fringe needs trimming.  When you get back he'll have cut it and then claimed she kept moving so he had to keep cutting.  Needless to say that is the one and only time he has attempted to cut their hair.

Four weeks ......

...... and a bit.

That's how long we've been in our new home.  It's really weird as it feels like a few days but also as though we've been here forever.

We've been putting up mirrors and pictures and packing stuff away in the loft. 

The girlie wirlies have been playing, watching more Hannah Montana and helping sort out the huge pile of boxes that are in the garage.

All Hannah-ed out

Ok, so I was wrong they did watch masses of Hannah Montana.  I only lost out because the weather was horrid and Graham had the car so we had no real escape.

Needless to say I took the opportunity to sort out some bits and the shredding of paperwork did a good job of drowning out HM.

Still, the girlie wirlies enjoyed it with Lottie Lou Lou's bottom hardly leaving the sofa for most of the day.  Millie Muffin had a wander round the house but returned to the tv with drawing stuff and her Nintendo.

Joy of joys it's on again tomorrow so I'm just hoping for sunshine.

Short and sweet

A super quick hello and goodbye as I have ER to watch - No idea why as I've not watched it since George Clooney was in it.  And, a tub of HD ice cream to share - No idea why as I am supposed to be healthy eating but I do have a sore throat. so I could say it's for medicinal purposes.

Huge yay for it being Friday.  The girlie wirlies have booked their space on the sofa for a Hannah Montana weekend.  I have to laugh cos they say they are going to watch every episode but I know that they will get bored and go and do something else. 

Have a fabulous weekend.  Now, where did I leave those earplugs?

I will do very soon if we don't change the light in my crafty room.  This and the girlies bedroom have a trendy four bulb light fitting.  Are they halogen? Not sure as I really don't do trendy but boy are they bright and hot.

I'm feeling better about the mess which is a good thing.  Graham's friend popped in earlier and not only did it look like *Paddy's market* I also had a rather fetching laundry look going on as well.  Hey ho, it's rained all day and I have to dry it somehow.  Ok, I could tumble it but remember my new - economy at all times - motto.

We're currently pondering what to do to the house first.  It needs new windows and a boiler but they aren't urgent.  It also needs decorating and new bathrooms but again they aren't urgent.  We do have some money to do it but with the current economic situation I'm not sure about spending it.  Ho hum, if they ever sort out Graham's drop in salary I'll feel happier about splurging.

I've lived with worse and it's all works so I shall ponder some more.

The girlie wirlies have been playing Barbies with Lucy eyeing up all those lovely little blingy bits.  She's just love to dive in and have a good chew.

Ooh, thank you Paula - I love those units and brought them here with us.  They are a french/dove grey in real life and the glass doors on the cabinet mean less dusting for me!!!

Getting organised

I've got so much stuff to unpack still and I really need to get myself organised.  I was doing quite well but moving house has thrown me out a tad.

I need to get my to do list sorted and then break it down into manageable chunks.  It just seems so overwhelming when you look at a huge list.

As you can see from the piccie of my landing it's not a pretty sight.  To be fair we're still waiting on the girlies' wardrobe and bunkbeds so can't get their room sorted. 

That's our bedroom and it's currently housing the overflow of the girlies' stuff.

Hey ho, we'll get it sorted soon enough.

Turbo Tuesday

A very quick hello and goodbye as I currently have my ornaments spread all over the living room floor.  If I don't get them in the cupboard and on the windowsill soon Lucy will be running around with them like a bone.

I'm not a massive ornament fan but I love my collection of 1920s style figures and my green vaseline glass vases.  Lucy is eyeing them up but managing to contain herself at the moment.

Not sure how long she can hold out for so I shall be off.  Leaving you with my old living room which is nothing like the *Paddy's market* effect I have going on in my new one.

...... That's me.  Well, only here in cyber land.  In real life it's a whole other matter but hey ho.

Today seems to have really whizzed by and I am just about ready for bed.  Nothing exciting to report but then there never is.

The girlie wirlies are their usual happy go lucky selves.  They can't wait for their bedroom furniture to arrive so they can get properly unpacked.  I never knew how hard it would be to get bunkbeds.  Well, the bunkbeds they want.  Hopefully we'll hear about the delivery tomorrow ...... Fingers crossed.

Graham was off but we only managed some shopping and putting a couple of bits up.  He's feeling a bit bleurgh and lurgified.

Mummy love

 

Hope all of you that are blessed with children had a fabulous day.

My girlie wirlies gave me flowers, a cream wire heart and a cream photo frame for my crafty room.  Everyday they give me love, snuggles and kisses and I am so proud of them.

Slushy moment over but it was a lovely day.  Graham's Mum came up for dinner and I hope that she had a lovely day too.
